Meme Fun Tag

Wednesday, June 11th, 2008

I have been tagged by Brittany. She is the devil! I am tagging Upenzi, Rik, Digi, Kisha and JNez.

I will try to keep this as short as possible.

What was I doing 10 years ago? I was putting the last nails in the coffin of whatever relationship my son’s mother and I were supposed to be involved in. I was seeing Elisa and talking to Cynthia. I was a lot less shy and quite a bit more confident than I am now. I was getting a grip on fatherhood and where I thought I wanted to be in my life.

What are 5 things on my to-do list today? I can tell you what was on my list. Most have been checked off and at least one thing has been deferred. I had:

  1. Apply for replacement social security cards for my son and I
  2. Get direct deposit form from Bank of America
  3. Get all of my direct deposit paperwork done
  4. Call the collection agencies to get a feel for where I am, in relation to my debt
  5. Receive a call about the status of the job I am waiting on

Applying for the social security cards have been deferred until tomorrow morning.

Snacks I enjoy: I like Tostito’s Natural Tortilla chips, Natural sea-salted Lays and crunchy granola bars. When my sweet tooth is acting up, I try to reach for some organic fruit. If I can’t get fruit, I like nuts and when I really can’t get healthy stuff, I will reach for some peach loopies in a heartbeat.

Things that I would do If I were a billionaire: I would set up various trusts for the people I love. Put a decent amount in a CD ladder, pad my retirement fund and put some away for my son, nephews and sibling’s education. Houses and just enough to pad our lives. No sense in getting lazy. I have a little man I am trying to teach to be industrious.

People I want to know more about: Kisha, Rik, Saha, Jane and Atisee for now. They just seem like some pretty cool as people.

Working!

As it would seem, my job search has come to an end as of this coming Saturday. I found out yesterday but wanted to wait until I got a few more details. That is just what I got, few details. I barely got a full address but I know from experience that people in some companies don’t always check their correspondence for clarity.

The official word is that I have been extended an invitation to train for CS. My counselor at the agency thanked me and told me that I did phenomenally on the tests and that I made them look good.
